This Privacy Policy explains how mi-ai-agent (the “Application”) handles information. The Application is an experimental AI chatbot that allows people to interact with an artificial intelligence assistant through WhatsApp. It is operated by Daniel Alanis as an independent developer.

1. Information We Process

When you use the Application, the following information may be processed in order to operate the chatbot:

• Messages you send. The content of the messages you send to the chatbot, so that it can understand and respond to your request.
• Your WhatsApp phone number. When necessary, the phone number associated with your WhatsApp account is processed so that the service can receive and reply to your messages.
• Technical information. Basic technical data required to process your requests and keep the service working, such as message timestamps and delivery or error information.

The Application does not ask for, and is not designed to process, sensitive categories of information. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the chatbot.

2. How We Use Information

The information described above is used only to:

• Process your messages and generate replies;
• Operate and maintain the chatbot;
• Diagnose errors, troubleshoot problems, and improve how the Application works.

Information is not used for advertising, and it is not used to build profiles beyond what is necessary to operate the chatbot.

3. Third-Party Processing

To provide its functionality, the Application relies on third-party services, such as messaging and AI/cloud infrastructure providers. Your messages may be transmitted to and processed by these services strictly as needed to generate responses and operate the chatbot.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. The specific providers and configurations may change over time as the Application evolves.

4. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information is not shared with third parties except as described in this policy or when required by law.

5. Data Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect the information processed by the Application. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the Application is an experimental project, so it cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate and maintain the chatbot, to troubleshoot issues, and to comply with applicable obligations. After that, it is deleted or anonymized using the retention practices applicable to the services used to run the Application.
